Christmas Project: MonitoxMonita Project

Official logo for my project

Yay! This is my very first photography project! And I am very proud to say that its 80% complete!

The theme was Monito Monita

What is Monito Monita?

This is a christmas tradition wherein you give gifts for a certain period of days and each day has a different theme. Themes always start with the word 'something' (e.g. something sweet, something short, something yuck etc.. )

I don't know if this is only done here in the Philippines, ha! Let me know if this tradition is also done in other country!

Anyway, here are my entries for 10 Days!

Christmas Getaway: Cruz Family Mansion!

Cruz Family's Christmas designed Mansion in Filinvest East
It's the most wonderful time of the year! It's Christmas!

And you can (for sure) feel it when you're inside this house! This house covered of hundred+ lights IZ DA BOMB!

I've seen it on TV 2 weeks ago and felt the rush to fly to this place. It's not that far, so It's the perfect place for my feet to go.

This is really a nice place, aside from being free, you can really get inside the house's yard and you get to peek at their 'in-house' decoration.

The free house light 'park' starts at 6pm, as soon as the sun starts to set! It's advisable to go here early as it gets too crowded by 8pm onwards

learn how to get here at the end of the post! :)

Here are my shots from this trip:

Emergency Photowalk

OLA Parish Cemetery entrance

It has been a stormy weekend for me and i still have a remaining plate for my next photography class, that is why i went out on a semi-stormy afternoon of Dec 9, 2014.

I went out shooting under my umbrella with the camera on my right hand. It was pretty embarrassing for my part because it is (for me) strange to see someone shoot outdoors in such weather. Well, i had no choice. I was D-E-S-P-E-R-A-T-E.

I had limited movements because I keep myself dry (actually I keep my camera dry). That is why my shots were pretty disappointing.

I went around Marikina area (where i live). I went to Marikina river only to find out garbage floating on the river which was an eyesore from my cam's viewfinder. I went to the heritage-like Cafe Kapitan Moy area but i was too shy to shoot because of... I don't know. But I went to OLA, Our Lady of the Abandoned, just a street away from the cafe, the central Church in my area. And to a cemetery just behind it. :)

Here are some of my Shots.

First Grip on My Cam

The famous 'BGC is Photo Friendly Sign' Indeed, it is photo friendly now.
So yeah.. I planned a 'photowalk' with my friend since I now have a camera that works fine (at least, for me. Nikon D3200) and because we were assigned by our instructor to take pictures that are underexposed/correctly exposed/overexposed.

DISCLAIMER: I am not a photographer YET, I am a Photography Hobbyist and this is my first time. OK?

This was a foot callus-ing trip for me as we get lost in the streets on Bonifacio Global City searching for the High Street. I've read on the internet that its a decent place to shoot. We didn't have google maps on us, and I failed to have enough research on where the place was. (sorry, I'm kinda new to this place)

These are some of my shots.
